Chef T is a long-time friend of Family Service and former Hell’s Kitchen runner up. She works hard to make sure more people know the importance of treating mental health.
At it again, she chose Family Service as the beneficiary organization for her participation in the August 19 Beer vs Wine vs Cider vs Mead competition at Whitebarrel Winery. The competition is in its 8th year, but this is the first year Chef T has participated.
Chef T attached her name and heart to Family Service in 2017, as a celebrity waiter for the 3rd annual Celebrity Tip Off. She came back for the 4th annual event, and always brings her A-game.
More than her spirit and her style, Chef T offers a willingness to talk about how mental health affects everyone. She shares her personal story of raising a daughter with mental health needs. Chef T publicly speaks about the high rates of suicide among her kitchen colleagues. She knows the importance of community-based services like Family Service. Services are necessary to address a crisis that is too often left up to teachers and police officers to identify and respond.

Each chef in the competition has chosen a charity to support. Diners will vote based on culinary dishes and wine/beer/cider/mead parings. Chef T graciously chose Family Service as her beneficiary. No matter what, each organization will receive a portion of the proceeds and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time!
