We are grateful to partner with Starr Hill Roanoke Pilot Brewery and Side Stage to promote awareness of how we serve the community, and come out to meet you.
Below are a list of events you can plan to participate in as a way to support mental health in your community.
Thursday, Oct. 4 at 4-6 pm—Kick Off our Cheers for Charity Month
Stop by and see us and learn more about what Family Service does and how you can participate throughout the month.
Wednesday, Oct. 10 6-7:30 p.m.—Smile and Ride Instagram Ride for Pedal Up
You can ride or not, but this is a fun way to learn more about what we do and see some of our community partner sites.
Kick off your 2018 Anthem Go Outside Festival- Roanoke, VA week with a ride on the Roanoke River Greenway from Starr Hill Roanoke Pilot Brewery & Side Stage to “pretty as a picture” sites along the way!
Learn about PedalUp, Family Service’s therapeutic youth bike-riding program and check out where the program is offered.
Raffle tickets available: $1 each or 7 for $5 for a chance to win some great outdoor adventure prizes!
Thursday, Oct. 25 5:30-7:30 p.m.— Freedom First Partnership Celebration
Please join us to meet and say thanks to the volunteers with Freedom First for their support of Family Service this year!
Monday, Oct. 29—Pumpkin Painting for a Purpose
This is a Family Friendly event just in time for the fall season!
Paint pumpkins for children, older adults and families to help get them in the fall spirit! Watch family movies and enjoy fall activities while you paint. The Goonies will show at 4:30 p.m. and Beetlejuice at 7 p.m. There is no cost for entry. Food trucks available throughout the evening.
Donate $5 and paint a pumpkin to take home with you! All proceeds help people in our community live their happiest, healthiest lives!!
