Counselor
Elyse earned her master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Fall 2024, with a concentration in mental health. She completed her internship at Family Service and was excited to continue her journey there as a Mental Health Counseling Resident with FSRV.
Elyse brings a valuable perspective to her work as someone living with chronic illness and disability, and she is passionate about creating an inclusive, empathetic space for all clients. She primarily works with older teens and adults, integrating various therapeutic approaches with a strong foundation in Solution-Focused Therapy.
Her personal motto? “I’m not like a regular therapist; I’m a cool therapist.”
