A new look features our new strategic direction.

Take a Peek at Our New Look

On our website, a new look means a continued focus on meeting community needs. People struggling with day-to-day challenges need a place to turn when it all gets too much to handle alone.

You should have a place to turn, and know how to find information for yourself, friends or family members when needed.

As part of the effort to make sure you have what you need to know, we are excited to announce a newly designed website at www.fsrv.org. It is with deep gratitude to AAF Roanoke’s Create-a-Thon, Ad2 Roanoke, and Patrick Carrell of Anstey Hodge that we invite you to take a peek at our new look. All the same information is there, but perhaps on a different page, and the site is geared toward you being able to find what you need.

You may be interested in meeting with a counselor, learning with peers at school, gaining support needed to manage finances or life decisions, or determining the impact of your support. No matter what, we are all connected by our desire to restore hope for ourselves, others, and our community.

Thank you for being a part of our caring community, and for helping to determine our strategic focus over the next several years.

In August 2017, Family Service adopted a new strategic plan, Engage 2020. Through that process, we heard from you and took what you said to make decisions.

Our board of directors and leadership team revised our mission: to transform lives by healing trauma and restoring hope for families and individuals of all ages through mental health counseling, case management and life skills education.

We decided on a vision–the way we would like to see the Roanoke Valley in generations to come–as a community invested in health and well-being, recognizing inherent strengths and respecting the honor and dignity of all.

Please take time to look through the new website, hopefully learn something new or make a new connection.
